Find a solution

Awareness approach

This approach allows you to receive assistance from a school police officer to resolve your problem without officially filing a complaint against the cyberbully and without going to court.

Steps of the awareness approach over time

For this solution to apply, the cyberbully must have committed a criminal offense (e.g., harassing communications), be under 18 years old, and the police officer must be convinced that this approach does not compromise your safety.

The awareness approach takes place over a period of three months in partnership with your school counselor (e.g., a psychoeducator, a specialized education technician, or the person responsible for your school’s anti-bullying and violence plan).
